Settling into Beaver Creek life

The park was one of the first things we did when we arrived in Beaver Creek.
Grandpa Joe brought auntie's Jessie and Jamie up to visit for a couple of days, they showed us you are never to old to ride the turtle and duck! weeee....
The gang heading over for a tour of Sid's museum.

The kids helped me plant the greenhouse on may 25th. We will look forward to eating fresh greens this summer.

The first hot day we had i brought the kids to Debbie's to play in the sprinkler. I was removing rocks from her garden and naturally the kids wanted to help.

Juliette, the mastermind came up with the idea of loading the rocks into the trucks to transport them to the van. I thought the idea was brilliant!
Unfortunately disturbing the ground brought out the mosquito's and as i found out, Juliette has quite a reaction to the bites. Poor thing had about 30 giants toonie sized welts all over her little body. They didn't seem to bother her at first but as they went down she started to itch. I gave her a warm bath and rubbed some soothing cream on. Apparently this type of reaction only happens on the first bites of the season until she builds up an immunity.
Both kids liked throwing things into the sprinkler but not themselves.

Juliette found some moose nuggets out in the yard. she thought they were wonderful to collect. I didn't have the heart to tell her right away what they were. I just told her not to put them in her mouth, i figured they were pretty dried up, can't be that bad.

Go Canucks!!  Darren flew down to Vancouver for game 5 against Boston in the finals. His Dad and him were lucky to get tickets last minute. We watched the game at Debbie's
They made it to the cup final game 7 and lost to the Bruins. Vancouver had quite a riot
afterwards, not sorry we missed that.  Darren now sports a yellow and black  jersey!
The Westmark had their annual dinner and show for the town in June. We brought the kids, Virgil was ready to leave before the show started. I stayed and watched with Juliette. She liked it and the princess on the stage.
For anyone that knows, I serve at the westmark part-time ,and the servers participate in the show. This is a snap-shot of what we do. No, Iam not in this picture! (Wayne)
Juliette and  little friend Lacey took the stage after the show. Lacey's dad, Sylvain is the lead male in the show. He and his wife Wendy  babysat Juliette in the summer 2 years ago while i was working and pregnant with Virgil.
