Halloween 2010

Juliette drawing on our pumpkin, in pink of course!

Virgil shows his enthusiasm by going for a pumpkin ride.

Juliette's first Halloween party was at daycare.

She was Tinkerbell.

Virgil was a handsome Chicken.

Virgil's first time trick or treating, with his sister leading the way.

They both pooled their candy, Juliette went for the smarties and virgil the oranges. He actually bit into one of them with the skin still on.

Fall Harvest

Juliette was a great help this fall when it came time to harvesting the garden. She was in charge of putting carrots on our dinner table.

They sure taste alot better when you help grow them!

San Diego

We went to San Diego for the Thanksgiving long weekend. This is our most eager traveller!
He almost did not make it there after we got turned back at the Vancouver airport cause he did not have a passport. we were so busy organizing everything else we overlooked this little detail! Long story short; Virgil and I had our own adventure finding a loop hole around this predicament. With the help of my quick thinking sister; she found us a flight leaving from Bellingham. We drove across the border (sat.afternoon- long weekend) 2 hour wait in the line-up, luckily Virgil slept. Needless to say we made it to San Diego that evening to join the rest of the gang.

On Sunday we went to Sea World. The weather was beautiful and hot.
we were also celebrating Grandma M.J and grandpa wayne`s anniversary.

This is a really cool tree, it has a hole bunch of little stumps.

Look at the happy couple, they are definitely walking to the same beat, literally!

Everything was Halloween theme, even the seal show.

The highlight of the show was when they did Thriller. Juliette did not seem too impressed with this show.
Juliette did not brave petting the stingrays, can`t blame her i didn`t either. Darren did and his hand stunk after.

We all got character drawings done. luckily the kids didn`t really need to sit
still very long.
Some cool looking characters.

the highlight of Juliette's trip was meeting the little mermaid, she talked about it for a long time after.

Shamu, the killer whale show. this was a great show, the kids (even Virgil) sat through the whole thing without squirming around. We did not brave the splash zone, and were thankful when we saw kids crying and people absolutely drenched!
we had fun exploring the play zone.
This is the Oscar the grouch ride and virgil's first ride!
This little face is priceless, I had to capture his expression while on the ride.

virgil doesn't know what to think of Oscar, especially after that ride he just went on!

Juliette is wondering why we keep putting her in front of these weird characters to take her picture.
After a long day of walking around in the heat and a big dinner at Red Lobster ,Grandma and Grandpa just wanted to relax in the room.
They offered to look after the kids while we went out on the town. The kids loved hanging out on the balcony yelling down to anyone they saw.
Darren and I jumped in the rental and went back to Sea World to catch the last show of the night "Shamu Rocks"
This show was a rock concert version with live music and lights. We enjoyed it better than the daytime one.

After the show we went for a drive downtown, The Gaslamp Quarter was hopping. Bars, music, people everywhere. It has been along time since we have seen nightlife like that. We drove around the block a couple of times and called it a night.

Our last day was a shopping day for the ladies and the guys took the kids for a tour on a Navy ship.

We all had a wonderful time on our trip , Juliette still asks if we can go back to San Diego.
