Gymnastics

It was a toss up between gymnastics and ballet. We decided to put her in Gymnastics. She enjoyed it most days and every class she braved something new. The bean bag with the songs were always alot of fun.

She had no problem with the high beam!

Miss Murray helping her conquer the ladder by the end of the session.

She started out being scared of the trampoline but by the end of the session she was carefully bouncing in one spot. Juliette displays her motorcycle stop.

The kids had a great time playing cat and mouse games with the parachute.

Sharing a room......

On January 23, Juliette and Virgil moved in together. It was a strategy to get Virgil to start sleeping through the night. Until this point he was waking up 2 or 3 times in the night wanting to nurse. Juliette was excited about the idea of moving into the big room and well having her brother was o.k. too, but.........

There must be an initiation first!!!! We are not sure exactly what happened but he wound up with a bloody nose and has slept through the night ever since!

Holiday Portraits

I tryed to do Christmas pictures at home this year but between no cooperation and lollypops in their mouth it was clearly not the best idea. Iam so glad we decided to go to walmart!

Juliette was on her best behaviour and enjoyed the spotlight.

Virgil was not so comfortable but they managed to sneak a few good ones despite.

Virgil was pretty happy holding on to the giant x-mas ball.

Christmas 2010

We made our annual trip up the Coquihalla to get our tree. We hoped in with Bob, Doris and the kids. Virgil wasn't bothered by the deep snow, he was having a great time! I had the honour of cutting down our tree this year. We found a nice little one that we could safely tuck behind the baby gate.
Keneesha packed Juliette though the deep snow.
On Virgil's first real meeting with Santa, he was a bit shy and did not want to sit on his knee.
Juliette has definitely warmed up to Santa this year. She went up on her own and graciously accepted her present.
Grandma MJ and Virgil were twins in their red vests.
On our way out to the Sterling Christmas party.
Twas the night before Christmas!
Juliette opening her stalking. Santa must have known she was a strawberry shortcake fan with the strawberry necklace he gave her.
Boys and their trucks! this one is an exact to scale replica of the truck Daddy drives at the mine.
Auntie Mel sure knows how to make a little girl smile with this snazzy remote car.
Animals and music are this guy's favorites these days.
Save the last dance for me Daddy.
New years eve we celebrated with the Eastern countdown by banging pots and pans.

It is hard to believe another year has gone by, We have had lots of great times with alot of laughs!

City Skool

Juliette started a little play school at the civic centre here in Merritt. She is the youngest of a small group of 4. She really enjoys being social, and all of the crafts and gym time. She also loves learning letters and numbers.

Her class went on a float in the Christmas Parade, Luckily the weather was fairly mild.

The kids helped decorate the tree for their float.

After all that excitement on our way home Juliette had her little candy cane still clutched in her hand with the other end stuck to her Santa hat.

Juliette's class went skating for their Christmas party. Her teacher Mrs. Tarzwell arranged to have some of the players from the local hockey team "The Merritt Centennials"skate with the kids. They were wonderful with the kids, this poor guy had to hold her up most of the time. It was her first time on skates!

Time for a breather after all that hard work.

Dad took over for the second shift, there were signs of improvement. She did very well, it was exhausting for her. We may want to try hitting the slopes instead, she looks to be a natural!

Juliette's 3rd Birthday

Juliette's Birthday fell on a Sunday this year. We decided to go to Vancouver for her party. Oma joined us for the trip. We went down a few days early and had a nice visit with Auntie Debbie who was down from The Yukon and her grand-daughter Tayler. Juliette loves spending time with them.
Her theme was Strawberry Shortcake ("Lawberry Hortcake") Her favorite! Anything strawberry and pink.

We had the party at Grandpa Gord's and Grandma Joan's. I made chicken Veg. soup and served it with buns. Juliette ate alot of buns with butter but no soup! go figure, I can't get her knowingly to eat any veggies. Thank goodness for smoothies and her favorite Pink Pancakes (made with beets).

Look whose got the crown now. Justin and Virgil buddy, buddy. Justin is such a great help with entertaining both the kids.

When I started making Virgil's 1st Birthday cake in October, Juliette asked me to make her a Strawberry Shortcake for her birthday. Well she talked about her cake every single day until her Birthday. I decided to keep it simple and make an angel food cake and dress it up.

Cousins help celebrate.

Juliette scooped up as many strawberries as she could fit on her plate.

Posing with her new cup and outfit from Auntie Debbie.

Auntie Mel takes a break from playing photographer to get a cuddle from the Birthday girl.

Little Sarah was so cute in her party dress.

I was so glad that Heidi and Devon could join us for Juliette's special day.

Everyone looking on as Juliette opens her presents.

Dawson is also such a great help with the kids. He stays close by for support.

Grandma M.J. made this beautiful quilt using Juliette's baby clothes and her picture. It turned out wonderful and will be a great keepsake.

Auntie Jesse and Jamie made this cute little teddy for Juliette. She named it Custard (after Strawberry shortcakes kitty).

Mom gets snuggles at the end of the day.
