August long weekend
Oma and Grandpa Mark came to camp for the long weekend in Merritt. We had a nice visit and even got to pick a few apricots at aunt Deana's across the street. Mom and Mark brought their dog Tala, Juliette just loved him thinking he was a giant puppet.
The boys are back in town
we were so lucky to have my nephews Justin and Dawson come stay with us for the week. They were a great help with entertaining Juliette, watering the garden and Dawson grating all the cheese. thanks guys.
We had alot of fun off roading to get to a secret beach by the river, hot tubing & berry picking. Darren took them 4 wheeling and to shoot off 1000 paintballs. I won't tell everyone about the singalong and dance routines to "Dora". Juliette loved it!
Here are the boys posing with their tubes at our secret spot by the river. That bridge in the back ground was missing a few beams on the deck so needless to say we had to put it in 4 wheel drive to make it across.
This was taken at a viewpoint overlooking Merritt. Juliette thought she was flying so she wore her pilot hat and glasses. Our house is in the tree area about an inch to the right of the top of Justin's orange hat.
Mel and Dave came up to Merritt to pick-up the boys and brought me a beautiful bouquet of pink long- stem roses for having the boys. it was our pleasure.

7 months old
We enjoyed a barbecue at the lake with Haika and Dave. Including a delicious dessert made by Andrej (A Slovakian family recipe). It was a very nice evening.
the river with a bunch of people for a picnic and tubing. Juliette dipped her feet in the cold water briefly. She is recovering from the shock in Auntie Angie's arms.
Well Iam excited to announce that her first word is mom, mom. She also has 2 more teeth up top. She is developing quite the little personality, we are enjoying every minute of it.

the Auntie's come to Merritt
Juliette's youngest Aunt, Jamie.

Darren's Dad and sisters Jesse and Jamie came to Merritt for the weekend to visit. This was the girls first time in Merritt so they played tourist and did the walk of stars downtown, went to the farmers market, Monk park for the Aboriginal day festivities and got reacquainted with their cousins and niece.

Hanging out with the big kids. Auntie's Jamie and Jesse with cousins Indy and Keneesha who live next door to us and come to play with Juliette almost everyday.

6 month Milestone
As the 6 month mark approaches there have been some new and exciting discovery's. The first being on Mothers Day. It was an extra special day as Juliette's first tooth poked through. We spent the day with family first going out for breakfast then dinner at cousins Rona and Donny's.
This was the first time she had real food, rice cereal. It was very funny to see the faces she made and the way her tongue kept pushing the food out trying to figure out what to do with it. We captured it on video.

She is quite the social butterfly. Here she is making new friends with her cousin Sophie attending her 2nd birthday party. Juliette loves her cousin Indy he is the first person to make her laugh.

Her new favorite toy is her feet, she also likes to see how they taste every now and again when she thinks no one is looking. She has also learned to roll over, and over and over again.

Darren's first Fathers Day. We spent the day having a barbecue at Monk park. (20 min. from Merritt). All of his relatives from town were there to help celebrate. The kids went swimming in the lake, played badminton and even found a baby snake to terrorize.
June 19th was her 6 month birthday. She hung out with her cousin Indy and we went for a stroll in the park. The rest of the day she put on her party dress, played with her toys and babbled away.
